diagnosis
A speech and/or language impairment is diagnosed by a speech/language pathologist using individually administered tests designed to assess specific areas of speech and language skills. The diagnosis is confirmed after the child has a psychoeducational evaluation or developmental evaluation to rule out a learning or mental disability. |
